Fin 2018, Third Editions proposait un livre illustré centré sur Dead Cells, jeu du studio Motion Twin s'étant rapidement imposé comme une référence du "rogue-like". Nommé The Heart of Dead Cells, cet ouvrage écrit par Benoît "ExServ" Reinier invitait les lecteurs à en apprendre davantage sur les secrets de conception du jeu grâce à une myriade d'entrevues réalisées par l'auteur. Fin 2022, ce format "mi-making-of, mi-artbook" sera de retour, nous ne pouvons cependant pas encore vous dévoiler quel jeu sera mis à l'honneur.
Et pour cause, cette fois le livre a été conçu en parallèle du développement du titre, le jeu n'est à ce jour pas encore achevé. L'auteur a pu s'entretenir avec les équipes de façon épisodique depuis plusieurs mois et années, et a ainsi pu vivre de l'intérieur cette aventure, pour mieux la retranscrire aux lecteurs.
